The ENGIE Open of Biarritz Pays Basque celebrates its 22nd edition, an event that combines high-level sport with strong regional commitment. As a long-standing partner since its inception, ENGIE continues to support this tournament, which embodies the values that drive us. We are proud to have supported the development of women’s tennis for over thirty years.

As a key player in the energy transition, ENGIE supports local authorities, industries, and individuals with innovative and tailored solutions to meet environmental and energy challenges. Our presence in the region goes beyond our core activities; it is also reflected in our support for meaningful local initiatives.

The 2025 edition will place a special focus on disability and inclusion through concrete actions and the involvement of dedicated associations that we support. Among them is Fête le Mur, an association that promotes social inclusion of young people from underserved neighborhoods through tennis. In the same spirit, we are pleased to highlight young female players from the "En avant les filles" program, developed in collaboration with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Tennis League.

We will also be supporting the association Rebond, of which ENGIE is a partner, which works to prevent and combat psychological and physical violence among young people in sports. The association also provides support to vulnerable youth, offering them appropriate assistance. A dedicated awareness workshop will be held during the tournament.

Disability inclusion will also be a central theme of this edition, with key moments focused on raising awareness about employment and accessible sports, both of which are powerful tools for promoting equal opportunities.

I would like to sincerely thank the City of Biarritz, BO Tennis Padel and its volunteers, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Tennis League, and all our public and private partners for their loyal support of this wonderful event.

To everyone, I wish a great tournament filled with sporting emotion, meaningful encounters, and warm conviviality.
